Although the present-day the state of Goa was established in the year 1987; but before the establishment of Goa; Goa was ruled by many dynasties like the Bhojas, Mauryas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Shilaharas, Kadambas, Yadavas, Bahamanis, the Vijayanagara and Adil Shahi dynasties.
