Taj Mahal On World Heritage Stamp

Did you know that Taj Mahal is depicted on the six stamps issued by United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) on June 16th, 2014?These stamps are a part of the UNPA World Heritage Series which was started in 1997. All of the stamps have a photograph of the Taj Mahal from different angles and show the mausoleum in different moods of the day.
Specific stamp description:
• On the €0.90 stamp a man is shown leading a camel in Yamuna River beside the Taj Mahal.
• An elephant saddled for a ride is grazing near the Taj Mahal on the 01.70 stamp.
• A southern view of Taj Mahal and its four minarets on the 49¢ stamp.
• The $1.15 stamp shows the Taj Mahal reflected in the river, all bathed in a rosy glow.
• The 1.90 fr stamp shows the tomb and its pool.
• The 1.40 franc stamp shows the Taj Mahal against the orange hues of the sky.
Prestige Booklets of the Taj Mahal stamps were also issued on the same date.
