In 1857, this issue of Tuscany was typographed and printed using the common frame and vignette elements; only the value table is changed for these stamps. The value table faced on the 4 Crazie value stamp was inaccurately printed in an inverted position during the printed process. Hence, the unique feature was attached to this stamp; none of the other Tuscany stamps illustrated this fascinating error.
This 4 Crazie value stamp was seldom used or exhibited, so most of the world collectors don’t know about this classic stamp. Its uniqueness and authenticity is known and appreciated in Italian and world Philately. In May 2010 a lot of this stamp was auctioned for 184,612 dollars.
