Capital City of Vilnius Celebrated on Latest Lithuanian €2 Coin

The latest 2017 coin from Lithuania celebrates the capital city of Vilnius. The obverse features the Bell Tower of Vilnius University, the Tower of the Church of St. Francis and St. Bernard, and the domes of an Orthodox church.Other inscriptions include “VILNIUS”, the mark of the designers, Vladas Orzekauskas and Giedrius Paulauskis, country name LIETUVA, the year “2017” and the Mint mark.
The common edge lettering on all €2 circulation Lithuanian coins reads - "LAISVE VIENYBE GEROVE" which translates to “Freedom, Unity, Well-Being”.
Mintage limit for the 8.5 grams ringed-bimetallic coin with a copper-nickel core and copper-aluminum-nickel ring, is 1 million pieces. It includes 10,000 Brilliant Uncirculated versions which will be sold at a premium. The outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag which the common reverse features a map of the European Union.
