Designs for the 2018 World War I American Veterans Centennial Silver Dollar to be Revealed

The final winning obverse and reverse designs for the 2018 World War I American Veterans Centennial silver dollar will be revealed on 9th October in Washington, D.C. at the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting and exposition. Up to 350,000 silver dollars in Proof and Uncirculated versions will be released in January.The exact venue of the ceremony is: Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Place, in the AUSA National Meeting Press Operations Briefing Studio, Room 140B. Three esteemed dignitaries from the US Mint and US Army would be present at the event.
A $10 surcharge will be included. After the U.S. Mint has recovered all of its costs, the rest would be donated to the United States Foundation for the Commemoration of the World Wars, to help the WWI Centennial Commission commemorate 100 years of World War I. Five silver medals, one each for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard will also be released, the designs of which have not yet been disclosed.
