Forced Tanka of Delhi Sultan Md Bin Tughluq

The "forced tanka" was an experimental token currency introduced by Delhi Sultan Muhammad bin Tughluq between 1329 and 1332 CE. These were Made of brass or copper, it was legally valued at par with traditional silver tankas. The experiment failed disastrously due to rampant counterfeiting and the refusal of foreign merchants to accept the tokens. They were minted from 4-5 mints.
