Silver Half-Tanka of Malwa Sultan Muhammad Shah II

Muhammad Shah II ruled the Malwa Sultanate from 1511 to 1516 AD (AH 917–922). He issued coins made of both silver and copper.In silver, he issued half-tanka and quarter-tanka denominations. The half-tanka weighs approximately 5.0 to 5.4 grams. Coins issued by Muhammad Shah bear legends similar to those of Mahmud Shah II.
