The 2017 dollar 1-ounce .999 fine silver Lion coin for Niue is the first ever bullion coin to be used by the Czech Mint. The product is released through American Precious Metals Exchange. The mintage limit for the coin was 10,000 coins and all of them were sold out within 2 days. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, country name, year of issue, the face value and a decorative Czech linden branch.The reverse depicts a two-tailed Czech lion which is also the coat of arms for the Czech Republic. The Crown of Saint Wenceslas and the shield bearing the national patron’s emblem are guarded by the Lion. The burning eagle is also featured. Mint tubes of 15 coins and a “monster box” with 750 coins are also available for sale.
