The 1893 Columbian Exposition stamp is highly regarded by people who are interested in United States stamp collecting. Some of them are affordable while there are many which are expensive as well. Collectors also have the option for specialization with respect to these stamps.The “Broken Hat” variety of the 2¢ Landing of Columbus is always in demand and is also affordable. There is a break in the hat of the third figure to the left of Columbus. The stamp has a market value listed as $60 in unused original gum condition, $3.50 in used condition, and $175 in mint never-hinged condition. Experts state that they are undervalued in many cases.
Different versions of the broken hat variety have been identified as well. The stamps with a clear break in the hat are preferable than the ones with slight breaks.
