1806 Draped Bust Quarter Dollar Auctioned

An 1806 Draped Bust quarter dollar, graded MS-63 with gold CAC sticker was sold for $23,500 at Heritage Auction’s Summer FUN sale that took place between 6th and 9th July.It is very rare to find a coin that comes with CAC gold stickers, which is why they are more desirable. The mintage limit of the offered coin is 206,124 pieces and 10 die marriages are also found. The offered coin belongs to the B-9 variety and is not very rare. The coin has a long die crack as well. The surfaces are lightly abraded and have original mint lustre along with lavender-gray, pale gold toning. The coin has good technical quality looks visually appealing.
