Maple Leaf and Rocky Mountain Columbine on Canadian Coin

On 30th July, the Royal Canadian Mint released a Maple Leaf 1-ounce .9999 fine silver $5 with a privy for the host city of Denver, Colorado’s state flower and Canada’s maple leaf to celebrate the ANA World’s Fair of Money in Denver.The reverse features the official flower of the state of Colorado, Rocky Mountain columbine. This large-sized, two-tone flower has a curved stem and is surrounded by the petiole of a sugar maple leaf in the design. The deeply veined lobes of the maple leaf and serrated edges are highlighted by the coin’s frosted finish. It also depicts the microengraved privy mark of Denver, ANA’s logo and the Text “Denver”.
The reverse has text CANADA and the obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The 31.39 grams coin has a mintage limit of 6,000 pieces and can be purchased for $92.95 Canadian.
