Bellaire Coin Club’s Collectible Show in August

The Bellaire Coin Club will be organising a Coin and Collectible Show on 5th and 6th August at the Arabia Shrine Center, 10510 Harwin Drive, Houston. Coin lovers and collectors are expected from Katy to Rosenberg, Memorial to West University Place. The event will also give collectors an opportunity to sell and trade coins. Ancient to modern foreign coins made of bronze, gold, silver, copper and brass will be offered at the show by various dealers. Seminars will be conducted to share knowledge about coins. Boy and Girl Scouts attending the show have an opportunity to earn the Coin Collecting Merit Badge through a workshop. Prizes would be worth $100-$300. A children’s auction will be conducted where kids will be given fake money to bid for real coins worth up to $100.Organisers are trying to promote the hobby among youngsters. The club encourages new collectors and believes that Coin Shows are where quality time can be spent with family. Admission fee is $3 except for active military in uniform, and Boy and Girl Scouts in uniform. It was in 1963 that the Bellaire Coin Club was founded. On the first and third Mondays of every month, meetings are conducted at 6:15 p.m. at the Bellaire Library.
