Farrukhsiyar’s Gold Mohur Sold for INR 55,000

Farrukhsiyar was the Mughal Empire of India who reigned from 1713 AD to 1719 AD. He sat on the Mughal throne after he murdered Jahandar Shah. He sat on the Mughal throne with the help of Sayyid brothers, particularly, Sayyid Ali Khan Barha, who was chosen as grand wazir of Mughal Emperor. He sat on the throne as the puppet of Sayyid brothers, when he had enmity with these two kings they imprisoned him, blinded him with needles and finally killed him.This gold mohur minted in Khujista Buniyad weighs around INR 55,000. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Sikka Zad Az Fazl-e-Haq Bar Sim-o-Zar Badshah Bhar-o-Bar Farrukhsiyar’ and reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Sanah RY 2 Julus Maimanat Manus Zarb Khujista Buniyad.
