APMEX, Inc. released the second medal in the Chiwoo Cheonwang series, produced by the official Mint of South Korea - KOMSCO. The 2016 release was extremely popular around the world which is why it is being extended this year as well. Each 1 oz Silver medal in this series depicts the legendary Chiwoo Cheonwang in various poses of battle. He has been a symbol of victory and a guardian figure for the country. Chiwoo Cheonwang contributed immensely towards Chinese and Korean history around 2600 BCE. Many mythological stories have talked about his power and magic. The real Chiwoo Cheonwang though was a tribal leader of the Nine Li tribe in ancient China, who is also termed as the God of War.
The design incorporates “1 CLAY” – a new concept of measurement that was used during the release of the first medal.
