Final Deadline to Exchange Old Filipino Notes

The Bank of Philippines has officially declared that old peso notes from the New Design Series (NDS) will no longer be legal tender after 30th June. The deadline was extended many times, but this time it wouldn’t happen again.Only New Generation Currency (NGC) banknotes that were released in 2010 can be used for daily transactions from 1st July onwards. The earlier deadline was set as 31st March in December 2016. The deadline was then postponed to 30th June as per public demand. The original plan was to introduce the new notes from 1st January.
Those who are abroad and had registered old notes up to P50,000 can exchange their NDS banknotes at any BSP office until 31st December.
