Spain Issues 1 Kilo Silver Coin Celebrating "History of Dollar"

The Royal Mint of Spain released a 1 kilogram .999 fine silver coin with a face value of 300 euro celebrating the history of the dollar on 23rd May. The obverse features King Don Philip VI, wearing a Captain General's insignia. Around the portrait, the obverse and reverse of an Eight Reales coin, a United States 1794 Flowing Hair dollar, and a Joachimsthaler, are depicted.The reverse depicts Pillars of Hercules, held by a band and the Latin motto PLVS VLTRA ("More Beyond"). Around the central design, the reverse of a Reichsthaler, a Leeuwendaalder, a Speciedaler and a Maria Theresa taler are featured.
The coin has a diameter of 100 mm, weighs 1,007 g and has a mintage limit of 1,000. Each coin will also feature a serial number (xxxx/1,000) on the edge.
