One Stamp in Honour of Every Holocaust Victim

500,000 cancelled postage stamps in 16 boxes have been donated by the American Philatelic Society to Foxborough Regional Charter School in Massachusetts for completing its Holocaust Stamps Project. They were personally delivered by APS executive director Scott English. These stamps are now being cut to create 18 different collages for opposing the cruel act of Holocaust.For the past five months, students have been working every day on this project. They keep counting, placing and sticking the hundreds of domestic and international stamps to make the planned collages. The ultimate goal is the collect 11 million stamps. Each of which will honour the lives of “six million Jews and five million other victims of the dreaded Holocaust.
Until now, since 2008, over 9.4 million stamps had been collected. 40 states and five foreign countries have donated stamps for this project.
