Two US mint coins won the Coin of the Year Award at the World Money Fair in Berlin, Germany. America the Beautiful Program quarter honouring Kisatchie National Forest won the Best Circulating Coin award and the March of Dimes Silver Dollar commemorative coin won the Most Inspirational Coin award.
The March of Dimes Silver Dollar celebrating the 75th anniversary of the March of Dimes Foundation features a reverse design by Don Everhart. The obverse, designed by Paul Bala, and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso features the portraits of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dr. Jonas Salk who fought for eradicating polio.
