The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, commonly known as Soviet Russia was created on 30th December 1922.The 20th Century gave this world monumental historical memories; World War – I, the Bolshevik and Menshevik revolution, Great Depression, World War – II and many more. The most extraordinary event of all that changed the entire course of history was the creation of USSR.
The year 1917 ended with the Bolshevik and Menshevik revolution that terminated the power of the Tsars and the communist regime began. A socialist state in the former Russian Empire was formed under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin.
Initially, Vladimir Lenin did not see that Russia's October Revolution would end all foreign borders. The Red Army was about to cross the adjoining nations. Hence, creating an alternate Government would have been easy for the managing the entire political scenario.
A treaty was put forward which along with the Declaration of the Creation of the USSR was approved on December 29, 1922, and on 30th December 1922 Russia became the USSR – a nation so big that encompassed 15 republics–Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Belorussia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
The USSR, further, became the second most powerful country in the world and dominated the world politics until it was dissolved in 1991.
