A Special Cover on 30th All India Postal Kabaddi Tournament released on 2nd December 2016 at Bengaluru.

Kabaddi is one of the favourite games of India. Played widely since ancient times, this game is known by many names in different parts of India. However, it is popularly known as “Kabbadi. The game was introduced at the Indian National Games at Calcutta in 1938.

The Department of Posts conducts All India Postal Kabaddi Tournament every year in different Postal Circles. 30th All India Postal Kabaddi Tournament was held in Bengaluru from 29th November to 2nd December for the year 2016.

On the occasion of 30th All India Postal Kabaddi Tournament, a Special Cover was released on 2nd December 2016 at Bengaluru by Ms. Usha Chandrashekar, Chief PMG, Karnataka Circle.

The cover depicts “Kabaddi Khel 2016” in the left with 30th All India Postal Kabaddi Tournament written in three languages viz. Kannada, Hindi, and English. A special cancellation mark was designed for the occasion.
