King William IV, Gold Two Mohurs, Calcutta mint, sold for INR 13,50,000 in an auction held on August 19, 2023.The obverse features a bust of King William IV, facing to the right, with initials R.S incuse on the truncation of the neck, surrounded by the legend WILLIAM IIII, KING. 1835. The reverse features A lion standing and facing left with a palm tree above, the legend 'EAST INDIA COMPANY' above and face value TWO MOHURS written in English and Persian below.
