Commemorative Stamps on Foz Coa Archaeological site

Foz Coa is an important open-air Paleolithic archaeological site located in northeastern Portugal. The site is dated back to around 25,000 years ago. The Foz Coa Archaeological sites listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. The site contains over one thousand rupestral marks, identified in over 70 different places. The site contains thousands of rock drawings of horses, bovines, animals, humans and abstract figures. Other paintings of this site dated back to the Epipaleolithic period were of zoomorphic semi-naturalist design.The above commemorative stamp was issued by the Portuguese in 2011. This stamp was issued on the Foz Coa Archaeological site, and the face value of this stamp is 0.47 Euro, written on the top right side.
