Jahangir was the fourth Mughal emperor who ruled India for almost 22 years between 1605 and 1627. After sitting on the throne of Mughal Empire, he took the title Nur-ud-din Muhammad Jahangir Badshah Ghazi. He took a keen interest in art and architecture. He encouraged many artists and painters during his time and took a keen interest in Mughal art and architecture.
The obverse side of this silver coin depicts the legend ‘Jahangir Badhshah Ghazi'; with regnal year 6, at the bottom. The reverse side of this coin depicts, 'Khair Qubool’ with the AH 1020 written at the bottom.
