Bank of Lebanon issued a 10000 Livres banknote in the year 2012 that depicts the Martyrs’ Monument located in Beirut the capital city of Lebanon. The monument was built in honor of martyrs executed on May 6 in 1916 on what is now Martyrs’ Square, at the orders of Ottoman military ruler Djemal Pasha. The note with the denomination of 10000 Livres.

The Obverse of the note depicts the State Emblem of Lebanon - Cedar of Lebanon. The reverse of the note depicts State Emblem, Martyrs' Monument (by Italian sculptor Marino Mazzacurati) on Martyrs' Square in Beirut with foliage of Cedar of Lebanon in the background.

The note comes with an additional security feature. The note has a coded denomination for the blind. Black serial numbers, in both Eastern and Western Arabic numerals and letters, are on the obverse of the banknote. The note also has invisible red security fibers (hairs) on both the front & back.
