The florin or Aruban guilder is the currency of Aruba which was introduced in 1986, replacing the Netherlands Antillean guilder.
Aruba aimed to represent the country's essence. Each of Aruba's banknotes (10, 25, 50, 100, and 500) are of a different color and have a bit of native wildlife to match. Everything from a conch shell, rattlesnake, owl, frog, and grouper are depicted on the bills.
They also include historical designs and motifs. According to the Centrale Bank van Aruba website, "images of the Aruban animal wildlife were combined with decorative motives found on pre-Columbian pottery, thus emphasizing the relation between past and present.
The 10 florin banknote was issued in the year 2003. This while-blue banknote has a very beautiful geometric design with a Calco Indian conch - Melongena Melongena on the reverse with denominational values in a patterned design.
