Australian Post issued stamps illustrating Medical Innovation

Australian Post issued the stamp depicting medical innovation. It is noted that Australia has played a key role in the early 20th century in various medical innovations. To underline the country contribution in the medical field these stamps are issued.The stamps depict Pacemaker, clonal selection theory in immunology, the ultrasound scanner, the cochlear implant and anti-flu medication. These stamps showcase four medical innovations and each is an example of close collaboration between experts across the institutional and national border which are designed by Nigel Buchanan.
Two innovations, the electronic pacemaker and medical use of penicillin were created in the mid 20th century. The other two innovation spray-on skin cell and the HPV vaccine were developed in more recent times.
