The Battle of Ghaghra was fought in Ghaghra, place in the Indian State Bihar, in the year 1529, between Afghan king Mahmud Lodi and Mughal Emperor Zahir ud-Din Muhammad Babur. After the Battle of Khanwa, fought in the year 1527, Babur became the emperor of Delhi, but this was not enough, he had to fight with the remaining Afghan chiefs. The prominent among them was Muhammad Lodi, who was the younger brother of Ibrahim Lodi.Battle of Ghaghra was Babur's last battle Babur. In this battle, Babur was joined by the Indian allies against Eastern Afghan Confederates under Sultan Mahmud Lodi and Kingdom of Bengal under King Nusrat Shah Sultan Mahmud Lodi. The Afghans fought the battle under the leadership of Sultan Nusrat Shah and Sultan Mahmud Lodi, the Sultans of Bengal. The Sultan of Afghan was defeated by the Babur in this battle.
