Gold Mohur of Princely State Kotah

Kotah was a Princely State during the British rule in India; it was subdivided out of Bundi early in the 17th century. Before, Both Kotah and Bundi together use to constitute the track called Haraoti, the country of the Haras, to which race the Rulers of the two States belong. Today Kotah is located in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Kotah was given to a younger son of a Bundi Raja by the Mughal Emperor. This gold mohur weighs 10.06g was issued from Princely State Kotah was minted in Nandgaon urf, Kota.
