Bijapur Sultanate was one of the provinces of Bahamani Sultanate from the year 1347 CE till 1518 CE. The Bahamani Sultanate was ruled by the five dynasties namely Bijapur, Golkonda Ahmadnagar Bidar, and Berar. Bijapur Sultanate was ruled by the Adil Shahi Dynasty.The Bijapur Sultanate was established during the 10th-11th Century during the reign of Kalyani Chalukyas, during that time this city was well known as Vijayapura. Later after the fall of Chalukyas, the city came under the control of Yadavas. During 1347 CE, the city falls into the hands of the Bahmani Sultanate. When Bahmani Sultanate got split five different kingdoms the city came under the control of the Bijapur Sultanate. The relics of the Bijapur Sultanate can be found in the city which includes Bijapur Fort, Bara Kaman, Jama Masjid, and Gol Gumbaz.
This gold hudki pagoda which weighs around 3.34g was issued from Bijapur Sultanate. This gold hudki pagoda is listed for INR 15000 in the upcoming auction of Oswal which will be held in Lukhnow on 19th October 2019.
