Gold Mohur of Nawab of Bengal

The Nawab of Bengal was the Shia Muslim of Bengal; they are considered as the rulers of provinces of Bengal and Orissa. Between 1717 and 1765; they ruled as Subah of Bengal with their capital as Murshidabad. However, they were subordinate to the Mughal Empire.This gold mohur was issued form Independent Kingdom Nawab of Bengal from the mint Azimabad (Patna). The weight of this gold mohur is around 11.0g and It was issued in the name of Mughal Emperor Alamgir II. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name of Mughal Emperor Alamgir II. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with the mint name and the regnal year 3.
