Competition to Design Kagin’s Upcoming Auction Catalogue Cover

Kagin's has organised a public competition where participants are asked to design the catalogue cover for the company’s auction which will be held along with American Numismatic Association National Money Show in Orlando, Fla from 9th to 11th March next year.The winner would receive a cash prize of $5,000. Officials have revealed that paintings, sketches, photographic and computer?generated images will be accepted. They also said that the competition is a part of an effort to bring in the fun element of numismatics and popularize the hobby among a younger and newer audience.
Each contestant can send in 3 entries to Nina@kagins.com by 15th December with the subject line “Kagin’s, ANA Auction, March 9?10, 2017, Orlando, Florida” mentioned in any order. Representative images of auction highlights and themes are desired but unique designs are also welcome.
The cover of the firm’s 1983 ANA auction catalogue featuring a design by the famous artist Peter Max of sculptor Anthony de Francisci's Liberty from the Peace dollar obverse was presented in the invitation for the artists.
