U.S. paper money will soon portray an imagery of a female historic figure as per official reports. Though the decision was to be taken by the end of last year, it had to be postponed due to the overwhelming public response.

The new $10 banknote design would be the first of a series that is going to be issued for putting a halt to counterfeiting activities. The new bills will be put into circulation in 2020 on the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment that secured women’s right to vote. These notes will celebrate women’s invaluable contribution to American democracy. Apart from the $10 bill, $5 and $20 bill will also undergo design changes to improve security features.
