2016 National Park Service Coins Launched

On 24th March, the 2016 National Park Service 100th Anniversary Commemorative Coins were launched. Officials say that the purchase of these coins will help support vital park programs and contribute to the centennial legacy. The sale of these coins till now has been very impressive.Coin collectors can choose from $5 gold, silver dollar, and 50c clad in collector qualities of proof and uncirculated. Each coin bears a mint mark ‘W’ for West Point; ‘P’ for Philadelphia, ‘S’ for San Francisco; and ‘D’ for Denver. Proof coins are more popular because of their frosted designs and mirror-like backgrounds.
