Harry S. Truman was born in Lamar, Missouri on May 8, 1884. He had served his country as 33rd president of United States from the year 1945 to 1953; after the death of the president of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Harry S. Truman wanted to join United States Military Academy, also known as West Point, Army, but due to the poor eyesight he was not selected in the army; later he was enlisted in the National Guard and was an artillery commander during World War I. He had also worked in several jobs which includes running a sewing supply shop, farming, and clerking at a bank until he became a county judge in Missouri.

In the year July 1944; Harry S. Truman was nominated for Vice-President with President Franklin D. Roosevelt. On January 20; 1945 he took the oath of Vice-President; but, in the same year due to the unexpected death of President of Franklin D. Roosevelt, he was selected as the 33rd president of United States.
