Cold Winter Scenes to be Featured on New Finnish Stamps

2018-11-15 Thu

Finland is going to release a set of two non-denominated domestic-rate stamps named Freezing Winter Day on 23rd January 2019. One of the stamps will feature an ice swimmer in cold waters while the other stamp depicts a father and daughter ice fishing. The stamps will be manufactured in a booklet of six with three stamps of each design.

Similar winter related stamp designs will be featured on the country’s Valentine/Shared Joy booklet of six. One stamp depicts sledging while the other one features two women wearing sweaters, talking their dogs out for a walk. Shared Joy booklet contains stamps that highlight friendship between people in different situations. A Finnish baby box and its items will be featured on another souvenir sheet that will be released on the same day, 23rd January.
