This stamp is one of the most expensive philatelic specimen of the USA, it was sold by the Siegel during its auction took place from 14th to 16h November 2018. This stamp was kept in a safety deposit for the past 100 years. According to the auction house, this is the finest example in existence of this type. The stamp is in mint condition with long and full perforations. It was sold for around 850,000 dollars.

It was recorded that the stamp was first bought in 1918 directly from Eugene Klein, the dealer who divided the sheet on behalf of Colonel Green. As this stamp was never mounted in an album, the coveted by the collectors as a mint, unhinged copy of its original gum. Only six stamps in this condition are recorded from the 100 specimens.
