Shams-Al-Din Iltutmish Silver Rupee Listed For INR 30,000

Shams-Al-Din Iltutmish was a ruler of Delhi Sultanate. He ruled the Delhi Sultanate after the death of Quth-ud-Din Aibak in the year 1210 CE. He ruled Delhi Sultanate form the 1211 CE to 1236 CE. Shams Al-Din Iltutmish was one of the slaves of Qutb-ud-din Aibak who later became his Son-in-Law.Iltutmish was a leading ruler of Delhi Sultanate and had played a key role in extending his sultanate to a larger area. After sitting on the throne, he destroyed the power of Rajputs and brought whole North India under his control, He also made his capital at Delhi, instead of Lahore.
This ‘Horseman type’ silver rupee issued by him which weighs around 10.7g is listed for INR 30,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla which will be held in Mumbai on 24th November 2018.
