John Fitzgerald Kennedy is also known by his initials JFK. He was an American politician who served his country as 35th president of United States of America from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. He was the youngest man to be elected as president of United States of America and also the first Roman Catholic to hold presidential office. After being elected as the President of U.S; he faced the number of foreign crisis, especially in Cuba and Berlin but he managed to secure such achievements as the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty and the Alliance for Progress. He also led a renewed drive for public service and eventually provided federal support for the growing civil rights movement.United States of America had issued this one dollar with depicts the image of ‘State of Liberty’ with the inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ and 1$. The reverse side of the coin depicts the image of John F. Kennedy facing towards left in the centre; with an inscription ‘JOHN F. KENNEDY written on the tip and the inscription ‘IN GOD, WE TRUST 35TH PRESIDENT 1961-1963’ at the bottom.
