Farrukhsiyar Gold Mohur Listed For INR 48,000

This gold mohur issued by Mughal Emperor Farrukhsiyar in the Hijri year 1125 during the first year of his reign is listed for INR 48,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla, which will be held in Mumbai on 5th August 2018.Farrukhsiyar was the Mughal Empire who reigned from 1713 to 1719 AD. He sat on the Mughal throne with the help of Sayyid brothers, particularly, Sayyid Ali Khan Barha, who was chosen as Grand Wazir of Mughal Emperor.
The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of the king and reverse of the coin is inscribed with the mint name ‘Dar-ul-Sarur Burhanpur and Regnal year ‘Ahad’.
