Canada Post came up with an innovative idea to release stamps. Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Star Trek', the stamps were printed using lenticular printing process.

Star Trek was one of the most successful and captivating movies in the history of the motion pictures. The year 2016 celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the movie. To commemorate this blockbuster Canada Post issued to lenticular stamps along with a souvenir sheet.

These stamps five Canadian dollar worth stamps show one of the greatest episodes of the original series, “The City on the Edge of Forever.” Crew member along with Spock is seen magically appearing and disappearing.

A “lenticular” printing process was applied to the stamp which made the images appear to move when viewed from different angles.
