This silver rupee is listed for auction with the starting bid of INR 10000 in the upcoming internet auction of Oswal to be held on 21st July 2018.Aurangzeb was the third son of Emperor Shah Jahan. He sat on the Mughal throne in the year 1658 AD and ruled it until his death in 1707 AD. Aurangzeb ruled the Mughal Empire for almost half-century.
Aurangzeb issued this coin during the Hijri year 1106. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of king as ‘Sika Zad Dar Jahan Chu Badr-e-Munir, Badshah Aurangzeb Alamgir with AH Date’. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Julus Formula, Sana RY, Mint name ‘Kanji’.
