Rare Postage Stamps to be Auctioned by Spink

Spink Auction is going to offer several interesting postage stamps from 10th July to 12th in London. Ten different mailed Mulready envelopes will be offered. Several 1840 Penny Black stamps as singles, in pairs, strips, small groups and on covers would also be offered.Another interesting item is a 2½d vertical mint pair of stamps celebrating 25 years of the reign of King George V with left margin selvage that was issued in 1935. The error stamp was accidentally printed in Prussian blue instead of the standard ultramarine.
This pair of rare error stamps has a listed market value of £37,000. The item is going to be offered with an estimated value of $19,800 to $26,400.
Many other error stamps that were issued during the regime of Queen Elizabeth II will also be offered. One such item is a 1979 Death Centenary of Rowland Hill souvenir sheet of four different denominations which only has six known imperforate examples.
A block of 20 1997 20-penny Royal Golden Wedding Anniversary stamps from the lower left corner will be auctioned. It contains a block of six fully imperforate stamps at lower left, while the remaining ones are partly imperforate.
