Maharaja Madho Singh II was the adopted son of Maharaja Ram Singh. He was the second last Maharaja of Jaipur. He supported the supremacy of British rule and even respected their stronghold in India. He also helped Britain in their various military expenditures and was besotted with many titles and privileges.Madho Singh coins belong to Jhar Shahi issues and were minted at Sawai Jaipur. He introduced coins in gold, silver, and copper. Copper coins were known as Paisa and Nazarana New Paisa. Its obverse features Queen Victoria’s name in Persian and reverse depicts ‘Jhar’ symbol along with the legend ‘Madho Singh II’.br>
