Coin Celebrates Russian Folk Singer Vladimir Vysotsky

Russia released a 25 rubles 155.5 grams commemorative 92.5% pure silver coin called “Creativity of Vladimir Vysotsky” on 23rd January. The edges of both the obverse and reverse are protruding.

The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation. Other inscriptions include “RUSSIAN FEDERATION”; “BANK OF RUSSIA”; the face value; “2018”; the metal designation as per the Periodic System of Elements of Mendeleyev; the alloy trial; the mint mark of Moscow Mint; weight and purity. The reverse features a relief image of V.S. Vysotsky with a guitar. A sword and horses are made using laser matting. Other inscriptions include “VLADIMIR VYSOTSKY”; and the year dates “1938” and “1980”.

The lateral surface of the coin is corrugated. The Proof finish coins have a mintage limit of 1,500 pieces. They will be used as legal tender within Russia.
