12 Jan 2018  Fri

The first-ever Platinum Britannia coin can be pre-ordered now. The first Gold Boolean coin featuring a design of Britannia holding a trident and shield was introduced in 1987. Britain’s strength and integrity are represented by the famous design on coinage since Roman times. Silver Britannia series with the same design was introduced in 1997 because of the gold coin’s popularity.

The popularity of Platinum is increasing among investors and collectors. However, very few bullion platinum coins are being offered. The Royal Mint’s first 1 oz Platinum bullion coin was launched in 2017 and was a part of the Queen’s Beasts series. The latest coin is made of .9995 fine Platinum and can be included in a Precious Metals IRA.
