The culture of the 1960s has been celebrated on seven stamps that will be released on 26th January by Jersey Post. The designs will highlight the language, music, fashion, events, food and leisure pursuits of the 1960 era. Stamps highlighting the culture of the 1950s were released on 5th July 2016.

The new set consists of a 49p stamp that reads “Flower Power” in a psychedelic poster format; a 63p stamp features a guitar player in psychedelic designs; the 73p stamp features two women wearing miniskirts; the 79p stamp features the 1969 first manned moon landing; cheese and pineapple stick appetizers are shown on 90p stamp; and a girl playing with a dollhouse is depicted on the £1.07 stamp.

A vibrant souvenir sheet with a single £2 stamp features an image of Jersey’s main shopping area, King Street and Queen Street in Saint Helier, during the 60s.
