The US Mint will release the 2018 American Eagle Silver Proof on 4th January.
The coin was first introduced in 1986. The obverse featured Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length figure of Liberty wrapped in a US flag. Her right hand is outstretched and she holds branches of laurel and oak in her left hand. Its reverse features Mint Sculptor-Engraver John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle with a shield. The eagle holds an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.
The latest coin can be purchased for $55.95. Orders will be accepted via website, telephone, and fax as well. They are available at Mint’s sales counters in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, PA and Denver, CO. More information is listed on US Mint’s official website.
The coins are not meant for investment. There is no household order limit on them. Production of coins will depend on customer demand.
