Disney Silver Banknotes Celebrate Year of the Dog

Taiwan recently released a limited edition Disney silver banknote made of 5 grams of pure silver foil to celebrate the Year of the Dog. The note features Mickey Mouse playing with a dog on the one side and the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the other side.A printed Chinese word which translates to "dog" framed by a Chinese knotting is also featured in the design. The notes are legal tender for the country of Niue. 50,000 banknotes are available for purchase and each one costs NT$1,386.
