The first two Canadian stamp for 2018 which include the Year of the Dog and From Far and Wide, will be issued on 15th January.

The Year of the Dog stamp design depicts a Chinese paper lantern with an image of a dog. An international-rate stamp and souvenir sheet will be a part of the issue.

The Far and Wide stamps are definitive issues which offer a traveler’s view of many popular Canadian destinations. Nine se-tenant stamps will be included on the souvenir sheet. The stamps have different values to cater different domestic and international rates.

The selvage of the souvenir sheet depicts the names of places on the stamps. The stamps do not have any inscriptions stating the names. The destinations included on the stamps are St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador; Hopewell Rocks, New Brunswick; MacMillan Provincial Park, British Columbia; Prince Edward Island National Park; Quebec’s Parc national des Iles-de-Boucherville; Pisew Falls Provincial Park, Manitoba; Point Pelee National Park, Ontario; Naats’ihch’oh National Park Reserve, Northwest Territories; and Arctic Bay, Nunavut.
