Jamcoin Exhibition has Surprise Gifts for Students

The most awaited exhibition of coin collectors, the 23rd edition of Jamcoin will be rewarding for school students this year. The event will take place at Red Cross Bhavan in Sakchi from 9th to 11th December and will honor schools for their knowledge on numismatics.

This year, collectors will have a special arena to display coins related to Tata Group. At the exhibition, 15 dealers from the country and some from Bangladesh are expected to showcase their collection.

Dealers from Ahmedabad, Baroda, Calcutta, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi and Rajasthan will be present. The briefing was also addressed by P. Babu Rao, secretary, Coin Collector's Club, and other members. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a quiz competition based on numismatics and philately. Teachers too will participate in the competition. And not just that, visitors too will be surprised with prizes.

Jamcoin is not just about rare and old coins, it is also a place to learn about the various ages and historical events. Rare silver and gold coins from the Kushan, Gupta and Mughal period, native state coins, commemorative coins of India and other countries will be displayed. Coins on eminent personalities will also be put up.

The Coin Collectors' Club of Jamshedpur is the only numismatic society in Jharkhand and Bihar. They have been organising the exhibition since 1994.
